Opinion Odyssey

The thoughts of an Army Veteran, Chef, Psychologist, Gamer, Runner with too much time on his hands

Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to Opinion Odyssey, where my thoughts are as unpredictable as those socks that mysteriously vanish in the laundry—every discovery is an adventure! I’ve decided to rescue my hefty Facebook rants from their digital graveyard and breathe new life into them. After all, who wouldn’t want a front-row seat to the glorious saga of my five-hundredth running photo? Spoiler alert: maybe the world doesn’t need to see my sweaty face quite that often!

But wait, there’s more! I’ve struck gold with about 50 hidden treasures dating all the way back to the primal era of 2000. Imagine playful Haikus, questionable, and fiction that sometimes makes less sense. Oh, and I even found some “serious” research papers—perfect for those sleepless nights when you need something to read to help combat insomnia! And I can’t forget my delightful collection of opinion essays that can only be categorized as “What was I thinking?!” (Or maybe it’s “What I was thinking?”)

Now, I’m on a mission, and I want you to come along for the ride! With a mountain of thoughts that could easily stretch over 250 pages—perfect for your next cozy read or a doorstop to hold up that precariously stacked pile of “I’ll get to this later” books—I’m at a crossroads. Should I keep this treasure for future generations? Honestly, my family has heard enough from me, and when I’m gone, they probably won’t care to read this. Plus, I never became famous enough to attract a biographical audience.

As I embark on this creative journey, I’m thrilled to share my culinary misadventures from my time in the kitchen—no judgment if the smoke alarm makes a cameo one or twice! I’ll also take you on my running escapades, which often appear as a comical attempt to outrun my own thoughts. Plus, I’ll sprinkle in insights from my experiences as a veteran living with ADHD and PTSD. As a psychologist, I’m passionate about promoting mental fitness, and I believe these elements will add depth to the stories I tell. And you can bet I’ll be weaving in my love for tabletop role-playing games like D&D—who doesn’t enjoy a good quest over coffee?

So grab your favorite snack (no judgment here), get comfy (or at least adjust that peculiar sitting posture), and join me on this wild ride through my thoughts. Who knows, it might just turn out to be an odyssey worth taking—or at the very least, a chance for a cringe, a groan, or a good chuckle! I can’t wait to share this adventure with you. Let’s go!
